REACH FLT
The Industrial Reach Forklift Truck course is designed for the operator who requires theoretical and practical instruction at basic level, in operating a Reach Truck in an industrial or warehouse environment.
It is also applicable to those experienced operators who require refresher training.

COURSE CONTENT
- Understand the risks involved in operating a lift truck
- Understand the legal requirements involved in lift truck operations
- Identify the basic construction, purpose and function of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges.
- How to carry out all pre-use and running checks.
- Driving the truck with and without loads ensuring stability and control
- Set up and lift various loads within the full working range of the forklift.
- Place and retrieve loads accurately at various points in a racking system.
- Place the forklift in an out of service condition.
Duration: The duration of the course is between 1 – 5 days dependent on experience with a maximum training ratio of 3 students to 1 instructor. (See Training Info).
Venue: Can be carried out at our training school in Eastleigh or at an employer’s premises. (Trucks with a lift height over 5m must be done at an employer’s premises, see Training Info).
Assessment: At the end of the course students will undergo a formal written test on all theoretical subjects covered and a practical assessment on their basic skills.
Accreditation: NPORS or LETS certificate
Cost: Dependant on course duration and attendees.
